Yesterday morning during the attempted robbery of a jewelry store in Woburn, MA.  Officer Robert DiNapoli was shot numerous times and wounded while responding to 911 calls reporting the robbery.  Officer DiNapoli was able to wound the suspect while the suspects accomplice(s) escaped.  The accomplices are still on the run and are assumed to be armed.  Officer DiNapoli is expected to recover, yet the pain felt by the officers of Woburn PD and their families is sure to be exasperated as Officer DiNapoli's situation was very similar to that of the  Woburn Officer Jack Maguire (EOW 12/26/10).  Officer DiNapoli will recover, but the situation could have easily been very different.  This is why we ride.....  Road to Hope
